Some blame “the media” for judo’s poor coverage and judo becoming a minority sport with only 40,000 members in the UK.
But when the judo organisations themselves provide very poor coverage and content from the British Championships, why should “the media”?
If you have any media coverage from the 2025 British Judo Championships, please share it in the public FaceBook group.
So it can be shared and promote judo!

The total number of individuals registered is 799.
The final figure for those competing will only be available Sunday, shortly after Pre-Cadet girls have finished registration, 10:00 am.
As of 7th December:
When adding double and triple entries, the total number of entries is 956 over the two days.
This figure will also be finalised, Sunday, shortly after Pre-Cadets girls have registered.
161 Junior Men registered, includes 46 Cadet Boys.
81 Junior Women registered, includes 34 Cadet Girls.
169 Senior Men registered, includes 52 Junior Men and 2 Cadet Boys.
82 Senior Women registered, includes 19 Junior Women and 4 Cadet Girls.
Pre-Cadets cannot compete in other age groups.
