The British Judo Association (BJA) initially added qualification criteria for the British Judo Championships 2026, January 2026.
The Cadet selection criteria for the British Judo Championships were secretly changed sometime between January and March 2026.

The BJA announced the qualification criteria 10 July and then changed them again, 17th July 2026.
